Software Engineer (Python / Linux) with Computer Vision

We’re now looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python and Linux skills to help us build and evolve cutting‑edge inspection systems based on computer vision and AI.
At Managing Composites, we develop advanced software, and AI solutions to automate complex inspection processes in the composites industry. One of our flagship products is ESEN Eye, an automated inspection system that detects defects in composite components using computer vision and neural networks.
The position is based in the Madrid area, with flexible remote work options.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, refactor, and improve Python code.
- Develop and maintain computer-vision pipelines.
- Integrate algorithms into the final product.
- Deploy in Linux environments (edge and cloud).
- Work in frequent iterations with customers.
- Operate in an environment where the product changes and improves continuously.
- 2+ years of professional experience in comparable projects.
- Strong Python (not just scripts: standardization, maintainable, modular, production-grade code).
- Comfortable with Linux: terminal, administration, deployments, configuration.
- Experience or real exposure to computer vision (deep learning, OpenCV, pipelines, cameras, etc.).
- Ability to operate in open-ended, fast-changing environments.
- Product-engineering mindset (not a “pure scientist”), with analytical skills and decision-making judgment to balance competing needs. Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, CS, or related field
- Automated deployments, DevOps.
- Cloud infrastructure.
- Algorithms and machine learning beyond computer vision.
- IoT devices (microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
- Automated testing, CI/CD.
- Frontend development.
