What qualifications are needed?

• Professional experience building and shipping ML systems in production
• Strong Python skills; comfortable with numerical/statistical libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas)
• Strong statistical foundation
• Experience working with time-series or longitudinal data (e.g., modelling how a quantity changes/decays over time)
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, code review, working in a production codebase
• Comfortable working from real, sometimes messy, production data logs rather than clean benchmark datasets

Nice to Have

• Experience building recommendation or adaptive-sequencing systems
• Familiarity with MLOps tooling for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining pipelines
• Experience scaling a system from pilot to broad production rollout
• Experience with A/B testing or causal inference for evaluating outcomes
