Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Overview

• Develop and enhance AI systems for a cutting-edge finance operations platform.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to optimize AI workflows and ensure production reliability.
• Work on document classification, data extraction, validation, and operational decision-making processes.
• Contribute to the architecture and scalability of AI systems for enterprise applications.
• Engage in hands-on development, focusing on Python and production engineering tasks.
• Support customer implementations and ensure AI systems meet operational requirements.
• Participate in creating reusable AI components for diverse finance workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and implement AI workflows for document processing and transaction classification.
• Develop and maintain model pipelines, evaluation sets, and monitoring tools.
• Analyze production exceptions and improve AI system accuracy and reliability.
• Build scalable AI components supporting multiple products and customers.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine AI capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with operational controls and auditability standards.
• Support technical investigations during customer implementations.
• Monitor AI system performance, addressing latency, accuracy, and edge cases.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science/software development, 2+ in AI system development; 7 years preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and production engineering for AI applications.
• Experience with LLMs, OCR, and data extraction models in production systems.
• Familiarity with financial services or transaction processing is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of data structures, pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to debug AI behavior systematically and improve system reliability.
• Advanced degree or strong industry pedigree is preferred.
