Artificial Intelligence Engineer

(Hybrid/Germany)

My client is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the end-to-end delivery of production-grade, customer-facing AI solutions. You will translate ambiguous real-world requirements into scalable systems, ranging from RAG-based workflows to advanced agentic AI.

German language proficiency (C1+) and residency in Germany are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Engineering: Design, build, and deploy reliable, cost-efficient AI applications from prototype to production.
• Agentic AI: Develop sophisticated systems focused on planning, orchestration, and multi-step workflows.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for customer projects, managing architectural decisions, performance optimization, and evaluation benchmarks.
• Client Advocacy: Act as the primary technical point of contact, guiding customers through trade-offs in quality, latency, and cost.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to the engineering team.

Required Profile

• Experience: 3–6 years in professional AI/ML systems.
• Agentic Expertise: Proven track record of implementing agentic AI in production environments.
• Tech Stack: Strong Python (approx. 5 years) and deep expertise in LLM frameworks, RAG, and vector embeddings.
• Soft Skills: Proven ability to own technical decisions independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/Azure) and contributions to open-source or research.
