Agentic AI Developer (Python / Vertex AI / RAG)

We are seeking a talented Agentic AI Developer to build and productionize Vertex AI-based Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, design reliable AI agents, and develop scalable AI applications using modern cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-quality web applications using Python, Flask, Django, and related technologies.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Design and implement RAG pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Vertex AI, including:
- Document chunking
- Embeddings
- Indexing
- Retrieval
- Reranking
- Grounding
- Build agentic AI workflows, including:
- Tool use and function calling
- Planning
- Reflection and guardrails
- Structured outputs
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and best practices.
- Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and sprint prioritization.
- Stay up to date with emerging Python and AI technologies.
- Define and execute evaluation frameworks, including:
- Retrieval metrics
- Answer quality evaluation
- Hallucination detection
- Grounding verification
- Continuously improve system performance through iterative evaluation.
- Deploy production-ready applications with:
- REST APIs
- Monitoring and observability
- Cost and performance optimization
- CI/CD pipelines
- Security best practices
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in Python software development.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Hands-on experience building RAG solutions, including:
- Hybrid search
- Chunking strategies
- Embeddings
- Reranking
- Prompt engineering
- Schema design
- Experience with at least one agentic AI framework, such as:
- LangGraph
- LangChain
- LlamaIndex
- Semantic Kernel
- AutoGen
- Strong understanding of vector search concepts and experience with at least one production-grade vector database.
- Solid software engineering practices, including:
- Code reviews
- Automated testing
- Telemetry and observability
- Secure-by-design principles
- Reliability engineering
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional experience developing Python web applications using Flask or Django.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs in Python.
- Knowledge of Python web frameworks such as Flask and Django.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Vertex AI and GCP services, including:
- IAM
- Cloud Run
- GKE
- Cloud Storage
- Logging & Monitoring
- Experience with Knowledge Graphs for RAG, including entity linking, graph traversal, and retrieval fusion.
- Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies such as Google Pub/Sub or Apache Kafka.
- Experience building document processing pipelines using Document AI.
- Knowledge of multilingual retrieval systems.
- Experience with evaluation frameworks such as:
- RAGAS
- TruLens
- Custom evaluation harnesses
- Experience with prompt management and versioning.
- Basic frontend experience using React or Next.js, or experience building internal developer platforms and tooling.
