Job Profile: Senior Python Developer

Location: Gurgaon, India

The Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Python Architect / Developer who will work like an early engineer in a startup environment, while having the data, users, operational complexity, and resources of an established business. You will design, code, deploy, debug, and operate systems yourself, with meaningful influence over architecture, product direction, and engineering practices. The role requires strong hands-on Python development along with the ability to design scalable architectures, build AI/GenAI solutions, integrate enterprise systems, and take end-to-end ownership of production systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and lead scalable, secure, high-performance Python-based applications, platforms and microservices.
• Define solution architecture, system design, design patterns and technology choices for complex business requirements.
• Develop production-grade Python backend applications, REST APIs and microservices using FastAPI/Django.
• A pragmatic approach to applied AI: excitement about using LLMs where they add value, and the judgment to choose deterministic software where it is the better tool.
• Design and implement GenAI/LLM applications, AI Agents, RAG, Agentic RAG and orchestration frameworks.
• Integrate AI and orchestrate ERP, OMS, WMS, external APIs and enterprise systems.
• Design asynchronous, event-driven and distributed systems using technologies such as Kafka and Redis.
• Design efficient SQL/PostgreSQL data models and database solutions.
• Design and deploy solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, reliability, observability and cost optimization.
• Lead architecture/design reviews, code reviews and technical discussions, while mentoring engineering teams.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and engineering teams to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Take end-to-end ownership across architecture, development, deployment, debugging and production support.

Must - Have Qualifications:

. Minimum 6 years of Python development experience, with strong experience in software

architecture and system design.

. Strong fundamentals in backend engineering, APIs, integrations, and asynchronous workflows.

• Strong data-modeling and SQL/ PL SQL skills.

• Ability to operate in lean cross-functional teams.

• Strong experience with FastAPI.

• Strong experience with system design, architecture patterns, scalability and performance

optimization.

• Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and database design.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture

• Hands-on experience with Redis and Kafka or similar caching/messaging technologies.

• Strong experience with any Cloud deployment - AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, logging and observability.

• Strong hands-on experience in GenAI / LLM application development.

• Experience building AI Agents, RAG, Agentic RAG integration.

• Understanding of LLM Ops, AI application monitoring and productionization.

.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a

related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, ERP, OMS or WMS domains.

• Model training (LLM or otherwise) and integration experience.

• Experience integrating ERP, OMS, WMS, partner portals and external APIs.

• Ability to remain hands-on while owning architecture and technical decisions.

• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
