Founding Engineer | Python, Fast API | Berlin | Hybrid
We're looking for a Founding Engineer to join an early-stage tech start-up and work closely with the founding team to build and scale the product from the ground up.
You'll have significant ownership across backend engineering and AI, with the opportunity to shape the technology, architecture and product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Build and own backend services using Python & FastAPI
- Develop and integrate LLM-powered features
- Design scalable APIs and backend architecture
- Containerise and deploy applications using Docker
- Take projects from concept through to production
- Contribute to technical strategy and engineering standards
- Work closely with founders and product teams
Requirements:
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with FastAPI and Docker
- Hands-on experience with LLMs / Generative AI
- Experience building and owning production systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced 0→1 start-up environment
- C1+ German – essential
