Technical Software Architect - Multi-Strat Hedge Fund

A leading international organisation is looking for a Technical Software Architect to join its Geneva-based technology team.

This is a broad, hands-on architecture position where you will work across engineering teams to improve the way software is designed, developed and delivered. Rather than focusing on one specific technology area, you will help shape engineering practices, modern platforms and scalable solutions across the organisation.

The role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud, architecture and AI, with significant influence over the organisation's future technology direction.

What You'll Do

• Partner with engineering teams to solve complex architectural and technical challenges
• Establish scalable patterns and standards that can be adopted across different development teams
• Help shape the organisation's approach to modern software delivery, from development through to production
• Design and evolve internal platforms, frameworks and developer tooling
• Contribute directly to engineering work where required, while providing broader technical direction
• Assess existing systems and lead pragmatic approaches to modernisation and migration
• Improve the use of APIs, messaging, integration and cloud technologies across the technology estate
• Help teams make effective use of AI and AI-assisted development tools
• Identify opportunities to improve software quality, resilience, scalability and developer productivity
• Work with stakeholders across technology and the wider business to turn requirements into sustainable technical solutions

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience as a Software Architect/ Technial Architect
• Strong hands-on development background in Python
• Excellent knowledge of distributed systems and modern software design
• Experience working with AWS
• Strong understanding of integration, APIs, messaging and event-driven architectures
• Proven experience introducing engineering standards, tooling or platforms across multiple teams
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing and modern software development practices
• Experience in front office trading environments.
