Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of high-scale systems by embedding modern AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) and coding agents into the core software delivery lifecycle.
• Maintain rigorous standards for software delivery through clean code practices, robust testing methodologies, proactive refactoring, and domain-driven design.
• Navigate fluidly across varied tech stacks—primarily within GCP, Python, Kafka—choosing the optimal tools for complex architectural challenges.
• Report directly to the CTO to translate high-level business goals into resilient, production-grade systems without the distraction of people management.
• Establish architectural patterns, guidelines, and review standards that allow the team to safely build and deploy code at an accelerated, AI-assisted pace.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade systems in complex environments.
• Deep, foundational knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, API design, and advanced refactoring techniques.
• At least 2 years of practical, daily experience utilizing AI coding assistants, LLMs, and agents to write, review, and optimize production code.
• Strong background or adaptability in modern web and data stacks (ideally Python, event-driven architectures with Kafka, and GCP/Cloud infrastructure).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
