What You Will Work On

• Modern Data Platforms: Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and lakehouse architectures on Azure Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) for structured and unstructured data.
• AI-Ready Data & ML Enablement: Develop data models and pipelines for Machine Learning and Generative AI and collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML workflows.
• Generative AI & RAG: Build RAG-based architectures, embedding pipelines, and vector search on Databricks, including Genie and similar AI-driven data access layers, to power business-facing services.
• Workflow Automation & Orchestration: Automate recurring business processes by connecting enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, production databases) via orchestration tools (n8n, Power Automate, or comparable), embedding AI-driven decision logic where it adds value.
• Intelligent Agents: Design and operate LLM-based components and agentic workflows where automation requires reasoning over unstructured data or documents.
• Process Discovery & Value Delivery: Work with business stakeholders to capture requirements, assess automation potential (effort vs. impact), and prioritize high-impact, cost-efficient use cases.

What You Bring With You

• Experience: 5+ years in data engineering and workflow automation
• Databricks & Data Engineering: Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, Unity Catalog, workflows, medallion architecture, lakehouse design); Genie experience a plus.
• Workflow Automation: Proven experience automating business processes with orchestration/integration platforms (like n8n, Power Automate, Camunda, RPA or similar BPA platforms), including connecting APIs and enterprise systems.
• ML & Generative AI: Experience building ML pipelines plus practical exposure to embeddings, vector databases, and RAG; agentic frameworks (like LangChain/LangGraph) a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong Python proficiency; experience with Databricks on Azure (preferred), data services, and CI/CD pipelines; Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric and Copilot Studio a plus.
• Mindset & Qualifications: Ability to translate business processes into scalable solutions with a strong grasp of data governance and compliance; degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; German B1 minimum and fluent English.

The minimum salary for a full-time position is EUR 70,000 (gross annual salary all-in). However, we are of course willing to provide overpayment based on prior qualifications and experience!
