Senior/Principal AI Engineer

Role Description The Senior/Principal AI Engineer will design, build, and deploy advanced AI systems that support large-scale review, investigation, and decision-making workflows for Trust & Safety, Fraud, Risk & Compliance use cases. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting software infrastructure, agentic AI solutions, implementing robust models and pipelines, integrating systems into production environments, and collaborating with product and domain experts to refine requirements and success metrics.

This is a full-time remote role based out of Seattle. 3 days a week in office.

Total Compensation: $120K to $240K, 25% target annual bonus, and 0 to 1% equity over 4 years.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of exp in software engineering
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development for production-grade AI systems, using languages such as Python and modern tooling for testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and lead initiatives from concept to production.
• Background in Trust & Safety, Fraud detection, Risk management, or related domains is a plus, as is experience with responsible AI, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop review systems.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in senior or principal engineering roles.
