We are working with a healthcare technology company based in Mechelen, using AI and computer vision to transform medical imaging and clinical decision-making. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to help develop innovative AI solutions that enhance diagnostics, streamline clinical workflows, and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise computer vision and deep learning models for medical image analysis.
- Build AI solutions for image classification, object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection, and image enhancement.
- Develop data processing and annotation pipelines for large-scale medical imaging datasets.
- Deploy and optimise AI models for production environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and clinical experts to integrate AI solutions into healthcare applications.
- Evaluate model performance, validate algorithms, and continuously improve accuracy and robustness.
- Contribute to research and the adoption of the latest computer vision and deep learning techniques.
Your Profile
- 2–8 years of experience in Computer Vision, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience developing production-ready computer vision or deep learning models.
- Hands-on experience with image classification, object detection, image segmentation, or medical imaging applications.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of machine learning model deployment and optimisation.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with medical imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, or digital pathology.
- Familiarity with healthcare imaging standards including DICOM.
- Experience with MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, or model optimisation for inference.
- Understanding of healthcare AI regulations or clinical validation processes.
