Artificial Intelligence Engineer

A globally recognized institution in the legal industry is expanding its internal AI engineering team and looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer.

This is a production engineering role focused on building full-stack ML and GenAI applications that modernize how a large, complex organization operates internally. You will work within a small, focused engineering team and own technical delivery from initial concept through production deployment. This role requires strong communication skills; you will work directly with lawyers and business operations professionals to gather requirements and explain your work in plain language.

What You Will Own:

Building and shipping Python-based backend applications powered by GenAI and ML capabilities, integrating LLM frameworks such as LangChain into production workflows, and designing REST APIs with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask. You will collaborate with legal professionals, business analysts, and ML engineers to translate real operational problems into reliable technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Python engineering, 3+ years of production experience
• Full-stack AI application development, 3+ years
• Hands-on experience with LangChain or comparable LLM orchestration frameworks
• REST API development using FastAPI, Django, or Flask
• Agile team experience, 3+ years
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage non-technical stakeholders clearly
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related technical field

Plusses:

• LlamaIndex, Haystack, or other advanced LLM frameworks
• RAG architecture and vector database experience (Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate)
• C# and .NET experience
• Workflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect)
• Background in financial services, healthcare, or other enterprise environments with high data sensitivity
• Fine-tuning or model evaluation experience
