Our client, a growing Mobility Technology company based in Copenhagen, is looking for a Real-Time Data Engineer to build streaming systems powering intelligent mobility applications across European cities.

You'll work with live vehicle, journey, location, and infrastructure data—building systems where speed, reliability, and scalability really matter.

What You'll Work On

• Build real-time streaming pipelines using Kafka and Flink

• Process high-volume vehicle, journey, and infrastructure events

• Develop data services and processing applications in Python

• Design event-driven architectures for intelligent mobility products

• Build reliable data storage and access patterns using PostgreSQL

• Deploy and operate streaming workloads on AWS

• Improve pipeline latency, resilience, observability, and data quality

• Provide real-time data for analytics, optimisation, and ML applications

• Collaborate with Software, Data, and Platform Engineers on production systems

Core Skills

• 3+ years in Data Engineering, Streaming Data, Backend Engineering, or similar roles

• Apache Kafka

• Apache Flink

• Python

• PostgreSQL

• AWS

• Strong understanding of event-driven and distributed systems

Nice to Have

Kafka Streams

Kubernetes / Docker

Time-series or geospatial data

IoT or telemetry platforms

Apache Iceberg or data lake technologies

Prometheus / Grafana

Experience with transport, connected vehicles, logistics, or Smart City applications
