Senior Backend (Python) Developer
Indexed description
Help leading companies run compensation cycles more efficiently, by building the next generation of compensation management software. You will be our first software developer hire, and will be working closely with the founder team to build the backend infrastructure and analysis engine that many large enterprises will rely on for future salary decisions.

You’ll have ownership of your work, flexibility in how you approach problems, and the opportunity to shape our backend architecture as we scale.
This role is not about bug-fixing or tweaking, but an opportunity for you to deep-dive into the world of compensation management, and put your fingerprint on the internal processes of leading companies. We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we expect you to be a fast learner, open to the chaos of a startup environment, and to have a winning attitude.
Core requirements:
- 4 or more years of professional experience developing backend systems in Python
- Hands-on experience with Flask or a similar Python web framework (e.g., FastAPI, Django) in production environments
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- A builder mentality - you are eager to build end-to-end features on your own
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience writing unit and integration tests; familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
- Familiarity with Git and standard GitHub workflows (branches, PRs, code reviews)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions
- Experience deploying or managing services on Google Cloud Platform or similar working knowledge of Docker; any exposure to Kubernetes is a bonus
Salary range: Base pay of 55.000 - 65.000 DKK/month
