About the role

We're looking for a Senior Python & Cloud Platform Engineer to build AI-powered document solutions on Microsoft Azure.

This is a hybrid engineering role, combining Python backend development with cloud platform and DevOps responsibilities. You'll build scalable services, automate deployments, and develop secure AI solutions using Azure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python backend services.
• Build AI-powered document solutions (Search, Q&A, Summarisation, RAG).
• Develop using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Integrate Azure Service Bus, Blob Storage and other Azure services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Containerise applications using Docker.
• Work with GitHub, pull requests and code reviews.
• Improve platform reliability and automate deployments.
• Implement secure cloud and AI solutions.

Requirements

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search or Azure Cognitive Services.
• Experience building AI or document processing solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with GitHub and collaborative development.
• Understanding of cloud security and secure APIs.

Nice to Have

• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Azure infrastructure experience.
• Kubernetes (AKS).
• Renovate or Dependabot.
• Enterprise AI or document management platforms.
