MCP Consultant

At HexaIO we are looking for an experienced MCP Consultant to support one of our banking clients in implementing MCP servers for NIA, an agentic AI platform built on the Nagarro Agentic AI Platform.

This engagement follows a definition phase that provides the target architecture, priority use cases, security model, and initial tool backlog, so you step directly into hands-on implementation on a modern agentic AI stack within a regulated banking environment.

As An MCP Consultant, You Will

• Design and implement MCP servers to expose enterprise tools and data sources to agentic AI workflows.
• Translate the target architecture, priority use cases, and security model from the definition phase into working MCP capabilities.
• Build out the initial tool backlog into production-ready MCP server implementations.
• Integrate MCP servers with NIA and with the underlying banking systems and APIs they connect to.
• Define and execute test strategies covering functional, integration, and security testing of MCP capabilities.
• Apply security controls in line with the agreed security model, including authentication, authorization, and data protection for agent-to-tool interactions.
• Document implementation decisions and prepare a structured handover of production-ready MCP capabilities to the client team.
• Collaborate closely with the client's architecture, security, and platform teams throughout the engagement.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience implementing MCP servers or comparable tool-integration layers for AI agent platforms
• Solid understanding of agentic AI architectures and LLM-based tool orchestration
• Experience with API design, integration, and secure authentication/authorization patterns
• Practical experience testing backend or integration services in a production environment
• Experience working in regulated environments such as banking or financial services
• Fluent English

Development knowledge of as many of the following technologies as possible:

• Model Context Protocol (MCP) and related SDKs
• Nagarro Agentic AI Platform / NIA or comparable agentic AI frameworks
• Python or TypeScript/Node.js for server-side implementation
• REST and API gateway integration patterns
• OAuth2 and identity/access management for service-to-service authentication
• CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice To Have

• Prior experience in banking or financial services IT environments
• Experience contributing to or working alongside a platform definition phase (architecture, security model, backlog)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
