Machine Learning Engineer

ML Engineer - AI for Private Equity - London - Up to £80K - Hybrid

I'm working with an early-stage AI startup building something genuinely interesting: the intelligence layer behind private equity decision-making, helping investment firms turn messy information into something they can actually reason over.

Small team, six people right now, founded by second-time founders with fintech infrastructure backgrounds. The technical team came together through Entrepreneurs First.

They're looking for an ML Engineer to join the founding technical team. You'd be building the pipelines that take unstructured, proprietary data and turn it into something structured and queryable, working on models that support real reasoning and shaping how humans and AI work together where judgment actually matters.

What they're after:

• Someone with strong ML foundations, ideally in NLP, information extraction or representation learning, who's comfortable working with ambiguity and thinking from first principles.
• Full-stack comfort (Next.js, Python, TypeScript) is a nice-to-have given the size of the team.
• They care much more about what you can actually do than how many years you've been doing it, so if you've shipped real ML systems into production rather than just prototyped them, that counts for a lot.
