We're working with an established technology company looking to expand its in-house software development team with an experienced Python Backend Developer.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust backend applications, working with modern Python technologies, and contributing to the long-term development of business-critical software.

You'll become part of a collaborative engineering team where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of features, improve existing systems, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a mature software platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python
• Build and enhance web applications with the Django framework
• Develop new features and improve existing functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance
• Write clean, maintainable and well-structured code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate closely with developers and other internal stakeholders
• Support software throughout the full development lifecycle

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• Strong commercial experience developing with Python
• Solid hands-on experience with the Django framework
• Around 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience working on production backend applications
• The ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative team
• A genuine interest in joining a business on a long-term basis
