We are looking for two experienced Backend Developers to join an ambitious engineering initiative with an in-house technology consultancy! You will take end-to-end ownership of building, scaling, and maintaining AI agents and intelligent tool workflows using cutting-edge protocols (LLM tool calling, MCP connections, and A2A communication).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Taking true ownership of AI agents and backend modules, driving development from concept to full end-to-end execution.
- Designing and implementing resilient backend logic with Python and LangGraph/LangChain.
- Building integration layers, APIs, and microservices in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Implementing advanced LLM tool calling patterns, Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections, and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication protocols.
- Containerizing applications using Docker and setting up reliable CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Writing comprehensive test suites using PyTest and Jest to ensure high platform stability.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of commercial software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals.
- Experienced in building production-grade LLM applications or AI agentic workflows.
- Consultant mindset: High learning agility, clear communication skills, and ability to collaborate seamlessly with internal and client engineers.
- Full ownership mentality: You own the agent/feature until it runs flawlessly end-to-end.
Must-Haves:
- Python & LangGraph / LangChain framework experience.
- TypeScript / Node.js development background.
- Hands-on experience with LLM tool calling patterns, MCP connections, and A2A protocols.
- Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks (PyTest, Jest).
- EU citizenship/residency and ability to travel to Germany occasionally (e.g., once a month; travel expenses rebillable).
- Fluent English for daily technical collaboration.
Nice-to-Haves:
- JavaScript (CAP/CDS framework).
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes / Kyma.
- Exposure to SAP BTP concepts (Cloud Foundry runtime).
Location & Working Setup:
- 100% Remote working model within the European Union.
- Flexible working hours with occasional travel to Germany (rebillable).
