AI Transformation (AI Engineer) (Shopee)

We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to join our team. You will work on building and maintaining AI-powered internal tools that directly impact how our teams operate. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will ship production code from day one, contributing to systems that serve hundreds of internal users daily. Job Description

AI

• Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for internal knowledge retrieval and Q&A systems
• Implement intent classification and message filtering (e.g., distinguishing questions from greetings/acknowledgments in Thai language contexts)
• Work with vector databases for document embedding, indexing, and similarity search
• Fine-tune confidence scoring, self-correction heuristics, and response quality evaluation
• Integrate with LLM APIs (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic) and internal model endpoints

Internal Tooling & Web Applications

• Build and maintain internal web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
• Contribute to frontend performance optimization (React rendering, state management, caching strategies)
• Write and optimize SQL queries, database migrations, and RLS policies

• Build and maintain workflow automation using n8n, including custom nodes and integrations
