  • Core ML Engineering & MLOps: Architect, build, and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines, robust data ingestion workflows, automated training loops, and rigorous model evaluation frameworks from scratch to production.
  • Edge Deployment & Hardware Acceleration: Deploy and scale vision pipelines onto ultra-low-power edge hardware, ensuring high reliability, low latency, and real-time target recognition, classification, and tracking under constrained SWaP conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with optics, hardware, and product teams to translate complex physical environments into robust, production-grade spatial intelligence systems.

Profile & Requirements

  • Experience: Several years of hands-on, rigorous software and machine learning engineering experience, successfully building, training, and deploying production-grade computer vision models in real-world environments.
  • Technical Stack: Strong Python expertise, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), end-to-end MLOps tooling, and extensive experience with edge AI deployment, model quantization/pruning, and image processing.
  • Domain Mindset: Strong interest or background in applied optics, defence technology, robotics, or real-time sensor intelligence.
  • Prerequisites: Fluent German and English communication skills, and full on-site availability in Munich (5 days per week) with valid work authorization in Germany.
