Factory Deployed Engineer – AI Manufacturing Startup

This is a highly hands-on engineering role combining software development, automation, manufacturing, and physical systems. You’ll work directly with factory environments and take ownership of projects from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy software solutions for factory operations
- Develop tools that improve manufacturing workflows
- Improve factory automation and operational efficiency
- Work with hardware and physical systems
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and modern technology to manufacturing
- Own engineering projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Background in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Strong software development skills
- Hands-on experience working with hardware and physical systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- High ownership mentality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- AI-native mindset and comfort using modern AI development tools
- Willingness to work onsite in Detroit, Michigan
- Manufacturing automation

- Formula SAE experience
- Experience integrating software with physical manufacturing systems
- $120K–$200K base salary + equity
