Cloud Security Assessment Consultant

Position Available: Cloud Security Assessment Consultant (GCP)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 + Benefits

Experience needed: Strong hands-on experience with GCP data security, including encryption, Data Loss Prevention, Database Activity Monitoring, IAM controls, and cloud security assessments. Experience assessing Oracle Cloud applications would be beneficial.

About the role

We’re looking for a Data Security Assessor to conduct security assessments of enterprise applications supporting Finance, Supply Chain, ERP, and HCM functions.

You’ll review cloud architectures, applications, APIs, integrations, and data flows to identify security risks and recommend practical improvements. The primary focus will be GCP, with some exposure to Oracle Cloud and other cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of cloud-hosted enterprise applications
• Review application architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Assess encryption, DLP, DAM, IAM, and privileged access controls
• Evaluate the protection of financial, employee, supplier, payroll, and other sensitive data
• Identify security risks and provide clear remediation recommendations
• Track remediation work and validate that security controls have been implemented
• Prepare assessment reports, risk registers, executive summaries, and audit documentation

What we need from you

• A good depth of experience conducting cloud and application security assessments
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP data security controls
• Experience with encryption, DLP, DAM, data classification, and data protection
• Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, privileged access, and authentication controls
• Experience reviewing APIs, integrations, and enterprise application data flows
• Scripting or automation experience using Python or Java
• Experience with Oracle Cloud security, ERP, Finance, SCM, or HCM applications would be beneficial
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
