Title: System Admin
Duration: 12-Month Contract (with potential extension/conversion, but not guaranteed)
Location: Hybrid/Remote | Onsite in Terre Haute, IN for onboarding (3-4 days initially), then only 1-2 days per month onsite
Schedule: 37.5-hour work week (standard business hours)
Must-Haves:
- Strong Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration and identity management experience
- Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Microsoft Graph API experience
- Microsoft 365 administration and support
- Experience troubleshooting authentication, access, and identity-related issues
- Knowledge of MFA and Conditional Access policies
- Experience supporting Active Directory synchronization to Entra ID

Day-to-Day:
- Monitor Microsoft 365 services and communicate issues to leadership
- Review and resolve advanced Microsoft 365 service desk tickets
- Troubleshoot Exchange Online, identity, authentication, and access issues
- Administer Entra ID users, groups, and policies
- Monitor and maintain Active Directory synchronization processes
- Support Conditional Access and MFA configurations
- Utilize PowerShell and Microsoft Graph for administration and automation tasks
- Perform Microsoft 365 change management activities
- Partner with Microsoft's support organization on escalated issues
- Document processes, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Assist in developing system maintenance and management best practices
- Support ongoing Microsoft 365 operational and integration initiatives
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Admin for a higher education client. This individual will serve as a key member of the systems integration team, helping to support and maintain a large Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Entra ID, Exchange Online, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph, while serving as an escalation point for complex identity, authentication, and access-related issues. This role will focus heavily on Microsoft 365 administration, monitoring critical services, troubleshooting advanced user and infrastructure issues, implementing best practices, and documenting operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Microsoft professional who enjoys working autonomously, solving complex technical challenges, and supporting a modern cloud-first environment while operating in a highly flexible remote setting.
Compensation: Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
