Network Security Engineer — Boston (Hiring Now)
A well-established financial services firm is hiring a Network Security Engineer to join their Information Security team on-site in Boston.
The Role Looking for a hands-on security engineer (6+ years) who can own network, email, endpoint, cloud, and vulnerability management. You'll design and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure email gateways; deploy endpoint protection (EDR/DLP); run vulnerability management programs; and secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience in financial systems or AI security is a plus.
What You Bring
- Strong grounding in networking (TCP/IP, routing/switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP) and applied cryptography (SSL/TLS, PKI, VPNs)
- Solid understanding of common attack vectors and modern defense principles (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, DMZ)
- Hands-on experience with NextGen/L7 firewalls, plus Windows/AD and Linux
- Scripting/automation skills to drive efficiency
- A collaborative, detail-oriented self-starter who communicates well across technical and business teams
