What You’ll Do
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you’ll be integrated into the Portugal Cyber Secure by Design Team and be responsible for contributing to the three main areas: Security Assessments of Vodafone Products & services, Security Consultancy and Network Security Advisory. You will act as a Cyber SME to enable technical teams to deliver Vodafone strategic projects in a secure manner, focusing on cyber risk.
You will be responsible for ensuring that security controls are effectively implemented, that all processes to support the controls are in place, and that support the global cyber security strategy as well as the local technology strategy implementations. The primary role is to make sure the cyber security controls are adopted and effectively implemented in all the local market products and systems that you assess. You will follow up on projects throughout their Development Lifecycle, ensuring proper understanding of security requirements, and analysing, classifying, and prioritising security risks according to the context of the project, contributing to cyber risk being managed within tolerance.
You will report to the Secure by Design team leader in Portugal and be an active part of the local market Cyber Security team. You will also have an active role to support an efficient collaboration with local structures such as NW, Digital & IT, VBTS, Corporate Security, Privacy, Legal, VBU, among others.
Who You Are
- Degree, professional qualification or relevant experience in Technology Security
- Experience in managing complex Cyber Security Projects
- Experience in Information Security maturity analysis based on international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, COBIT)
- Knowledgeable in the analysis and evaluation of security architectures and solutions
- Deep knowledge of Cyber Security threats and the capability to assess business impact
- Strong Focus on the delivery of security projects contributing to control effectiveness
- Manage Cyber Security Risk in line with Vodafone and local market tolerance
- Understand local security laws and regulations to make sure they are embedded into policy and controls
- Build strong and effective relationships with Cyber team members, local and global and with other technology and business stakeholders
- Fluency in the English language
