Senior Data DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data DevOps Engineer able to own a data platform area end-to-end. The role includes designing deployment standards for data pipelines, improving reliability and observability, maintaining IaC modules, supporting Kubernetes and cloud workloads, mentoring engineers and working directly with Data Engineering and Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design deployment standards for data pipelines
• Improvement of reliability and observability across the data platform
• Maintenance of IaC modules and reusable infrastructure components
• Support for Kubernetes and cloud workloads in production
• Mentorship of L1-L2 engineers and driving technical improvements
• Collaboration with Data Engineering and Security teams
• Advanced CI/CD management including templates, release gates and promotion flows
• SLO/SLA thinking, capacity planning and cost optimization
• Ownership of monitoring, alerting and incident management

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Cloud Engineering
• Strong production experience with cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in Kubernetes or managed container platform in production
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform/IaC including modules, environments and state, policies and reviews
• Advanced CI/CD skills including templates, release gates and security checks
• Strong competency in monitoring, alerting and incident management
• Skills in Python automation and API integrations
• Knowledge of Linux, networking and IAM, secrets, certificates and DNS/VPC basics
• Understanding of SQL and operational data pipelines
• Familiarity with at least one data-platform technology such as Airflow, Spark or Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery, Redshift, EMR/Glue/Dataproc or dbt, warehouse/lake, ELT, analytics platform or ML platform
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Salary range €3.8K-€5.7K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
