Container Platform Engineer

Cognizant is an American multinational company providing information technology, consulting, and business process outsourcing services.

We are looking for Senior Container Platform Engineer.

The role purpose is to deliver and operate the 24x7 OpenShift-based container orchestration platform, providing namespaces, access keys, and self-service capabilities for deploying and managing containerized applications across private cloud and public cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain the OpenShift container orchestration platform.
• Provision and manage namespaces, access keys, and role-based access for application teams.
• Ensure 24x7 availability, performance, and resilience of the container platform.
• Support application teams in deploying and managing containerized workloads across private cloud and public cloud environments.
• Implement platform upgrades, patches, and security hardening in line with best practice.
• Monitor platform health and capacity, proactively addressing performance or scaling issues.
• Develop and maintain self-service tooling and documentation for platform consumers.
• Respond to and resolve incidents related to the container platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of container networking, storage, and security concepts.
• Experience with private cloud and on-premise infrastructure integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for containerized deployments.
• Scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Strong incident management skills in a 24x7 operational context.

• The salary range for this position is from 3.800 to 5.042 EURO gross before taxes.*
• Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
