Revivn is a profitable and rapidly growing company that helps enterprises manage their technology through our end of life software platform. We take electronic recycling one step further by repurposing hardware that still has remaining life and providing it to people who lack dedicated computer access and make it more affordable for people who may not be able to purchase new technology. Working with companies like Instacart, Lyft, Qualtrics, X, Gensler, and Spotify, we are changing the way companies view used technology with a new model that focuses on repurposing instead of recycling.

We're looking for a Product Engineer to be the embedded technical presence for our customer-facing platform, based out of our Brooklyn office. This role is ideal for a full-stack engineer who wants ownership over both the "what" and the "how" - working directly with our customer-facing team to understand pain points, then building the fix yourself. You'll work closely with our Director of Engineering and customer-facing leadership to prioritize what gets built, and with modern, AI-enabled workflows to build it fast.

Please note this role is based on-site at our Brooklyn Navy Yard office with Remote Wednesdays.

What you'll do:

Discovery & Product Ownership

  • Work directly with our customer-facing team and stakeholders to understand pain points, gather requirements, and identify what's worth building next.
  • Translate what you learn into clear problem framing, PRDs, and lightweight documentation.
  • Own feature and workflow improvements on our customer-facing platform, end to end.

Engineering & Delivery

  • Build and ship the features and fixes you scope yourself, on our Ruby on Rails and React stack.
  • Use AI-native engineering workflows (agentic coding tools, AI-assisted review) as a core part of how you work, so more of your time can go toward the product half of the role.
  • Maintain documentation clear enough for teammates to pick up your work if needed.

Support Engineering

  • Pick up customer-facing support fixes (P2/P3) as part of your regular workload—these largely originate from the same customer-facing team you're already embedded with.
  • Escalate P0/P1 issues to the broader engineering team.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Confer regularly with our product team on roadmap overlap and technical sequencing where the platforms intersect.
  • Bring prioritization tradeoffs to the Director of Engineering for final sign-off—you own the framing and recommendation, leadership owns the final call.
  • Be a visible advocate for modern, AI-enabled engineering practices across the broader team.

What we are looking for

  • Full-stack experience with Ruby on Rails and React in production.
  • Genuine, demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted engineering workflows—we'll ask you to walk us through real examples, not describe a philosophy.
  • Comfort owning a problem from a stakeholder conversation through to shipped code, and taking direct accountability for that full arc.
  • Comfort context-switching between proactive feature work and reactive support fixes without losing momentum on either.
  • Clear written communication—you'll be writing your own PRDs and specs.
  • Ability to work independently while staying coordinated with teammates in a different location and function.

Who you are

  • You use AI tooling to genuinely move faster, not as a talking point.
  • You take full ownership—when a problem is yours to solve, you see it through from conversation to shipped code.
  • You're comfortable balancing planned feature work against unplanned support fixes, and know how to protect focus time without dropping urgent issues.
  • You communicate clearly in writing, and translate customer and stakeholder conversations into specs others can act on.
  • You're energized by being embedded with a team you build for, not working at a remove from them.
