We're partnering with a frontier AI research company that is building next-generation open-weight foundation models with the mission of making advanced AI broadly accessible. Their team includes researchers, engineers, and operators from some of the world's leading AI labs and technology companies, working at the cutting edge of model development, infrastructure, and deployment.
As their infrastructure footprint rapidly scales, they're looking for a highly technical Infrastructure Security Engineer to build and own security across a globally distributed multi-cloud environment powering advanced AI systems.
This is a true 0-to-1 opportunity for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, incident response, and platform security while defining the long-term security strategy for critical AI infrastructure.
Overview:
- Audit, harden, and secure large-scale multi-cloud Kubernetes environments
- Design and implement centralized authentication and authorization controls across distributed infrastructure
- Build defense-in-depth security controls around containerized workloads and AI compute environments
- Develop automated tooling for continuous security monitoring, benchmarking, and compliance validation
- Build detection and response capabilities for cloud, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
- Define and execute the long-term infrastructure security roadmap for a rapidly growing AI organization
Skills required:
- Deep expertise securing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Strong experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or large-scale cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, ArgoCD, Helm, Rancher, or similar infrastructure tooling
- Strong software engineering skills with Python and/or Golang
- Proven experience building security controls and infrastructure from the ground up
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with significant ownership
Why:
- Secure infrastructure powering some of the most advanced AI systems being developed today
- Join a small, highly talent-dense engineering team
- Own infrastructure security strategy from day one
- Work across cloud, Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform engineering
- Significant compensation and equity opportunity
