Senior Security Engineer

Seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its growing technology organization. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong experience in enterprise security architecture who enjoys designing, implementing, and supporting secure network and cloud environments while partnering across the business to strengthen the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.

This position offers the opportunity to influence security strategy, lead key initiatives, and work with modern cloud and infrastructure technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise security architecture across network and cloud environments.
• Lead Zero Trust, network segmentation, and access control initiatives.
• Architect, deploy, and manage next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto experience preferred).
• Secure hybrid cloud environments across AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and risk reviews for new technologies and projects.
• Support Tier III incident response and perform root cause analysis.
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted security technologies to improve monitoring, threat detection, automation, and response capabilities.
• Manage and improve endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability management, and content filtering solutions.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training and best practices across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement of the company's security posture through proactive recommendations and strategic planning.
• Partner with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the technology environment.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience designing enterprise security architectures.
• Strong experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto preferred).
• Deep understanding of:
• TCP/IP
• Routing & Switching
• Network Segmentation
• Experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with platforms and vulnerability management solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Preferred

• Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
• Security certifications such as:
• CISSP
• PCNSE
• CCNP/CCIE Security
• CCSP
• Microsoft Azure Security certifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
