Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Supporting Azure cloud services and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure cloud environments while implementing security best practices
- Leveraging Azure data services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel to ensure security posture and compliance
- Writing and maintaining automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI and executing them using Azure Functions
- Configuring network security groups (NSGs), application gateways, and other network controls to protect cloud resources
- Managing Azure compute, storage, networking, and database services to ensure complete and functioning systems
- Applying security best practices and compliance standards while collaborating effectively across teams to address complex technical needs
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or development
- Experience designing and deploying Azure-based solutions and working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or Git
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEP
- Experience automating workflows using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON
- Experience with cloud template technologies including Azure Resource Manager and GitHub Enterprise
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with other cloud platforms
- Understanding of NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
