Role Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Transformation Lead to spearhead a massive enterprise shift from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise.

As the chief architectural authority, you will own the long-term platform design, security posture, and integration strategy. Your job is to keep the transformation aligned with our core enterprise standards, managing technical governance while overseeing elite external vendors and partners (including Google and major systems integrators).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the end-state ecosystem for a 150k+ user base, covering email, identity integration (Entra ID/SSO), data migration (SharePoint to Google Drive), and enterprise-grade data governance.
• Serve as the final technical approver for all migration strategies, security configurations (DLP, CAA), and workflow automation approaches (Apps Script, AppSheet).
• Act as the primary technical counterpart to external partners. Validate vendor assumptions, review designs, and ensure they deliver clean, sustainable solutions without vendor lock-in.
• AI Integration (Gemini Enterprise): Establish technical guardrails, data access boundaries, and connector frameworks for safe, compliant AI and agentic workflow deployment.
• Partner with Information Security and Legal teams to ensure seamless, secure coexistence between Microsoft and Google ecosystems during the transition, adhering to strict compliance and eDiscovery standards.

Specialization: Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace Migration

An experienced Google Workspace Migration Architect to lead and architect enterprise-scale migrations from Microsoft 365 (M365) to Google Workspace. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, identity and access management, email migration, collaboration platforms, security, data migration, and hybrid coexistence.

The architect will own the end-to-end migration strategy, including discovery, assessment, architecture, migration planning, pilot execution, tooling, coexistence, cutover, validation, troubleshooting, and post-migration stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end M365 to Google Workspace migration architecture for enterprise environments.
• Lead migration of Exchange Online mailboxes, calendars, contacts, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration data to appropriate Google Workspace services.
• Develop migration strategies for:
• Exchange Online → Gmail
• OneDrive → Google Drive
• SharePoint → Shared Drives / Google Drive
• Microsoft Teams → Google Chat / Google Meet
• Microsoft 365 Groups → Google Groups
• Exchange calendars → Google Calendar
• Perform detailed discovery and assessment of the existing Microsoft 365 tenant, including users, groups, domains, mail flow, security policies, applications, integrations, and data volumes.
• Define migration waves, pilot groups, dependencies, migration sequencing, rollback procedures, and cutover plans.
• Architect identity and authentication integration between Microsoft Entra ID and Google Cloud Identity / Google Workspace.
• Design and implement SSO, federation, MFA, provisioning, directory synchronization, and lifecycle management.
• Develop coexistence strategies for organizations operating M365 and Google Workspace in parallel during migration.
• Design email routing, DNS, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, mail-flow, forwarding, and relay configurations.
• Lead migration of large-scale mailbox and collaboration data while maintaining data integrity and minimizing business disruption.
• Evaluate and select appropriate migration tools such as Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Exchange (GWMME), Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO), Google Workspace Migrate, and qualified third-party migration platforms.
• Develop migration scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, Google Apps Script, APIs, or other automation technologies where required.
• Establish migration validation and reconciliation processes for users, emails, calendars, contacts, files, permissions, and metadata.
• Develop comprehensive migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, technical designs, operational procedures, and rollback plans.
• Partner with security teams to implement Google Workspace security controls, DLP, retention, Vault, context-aware access, endpoint management, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, security, IAM, messaging, application, and business teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership during migration pilots, production cutovers, and hypercare.
• Troubleshoot complex migration, authentication, synchronization, mail-flow, DNS, API, and data-transfer issues.
• Define post-migration optimization and operational support models for Google Workspace.

Ideal Background

10–15+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering leadership.

Scale: Proven track record leading massive cloud migrations (ideally 100k+ users).

Deep expertise in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Identity Management (Entra ID), Cloud Security, and Enterprise Data Governance.

Familiarity with deploying enterprise AI platforms and managing AI data boundaries.
