We’re Hiring: Senior Network Security Engineer

WHITEGUARD is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our Managed Security Services team and support a large enterprise customer operating in a mission-critical security environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, network security, and enterprise security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain enterprise security infrastructure and platforms.
• Investigate security alerts, operational events, and cybersecurity incidents.
• Perform log analysis, event correlation, threat investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Lead and support incident response, recovery, remediation, and security-hardening activities.
• Review and optimize firewall policies, network security rules, and platform configurations.
• Identify security gaps and recommend technical improvements.
• Support infrastructure enhancement and security transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, incident reports, and customer reports.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the effective operation of enterprise security controls.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior security team members.
• Support vulnerability-management activities and follow up on remediation actions.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should have strong practical experience with:

• FortiGate
• FortiSIEM

Preferred Technology Experience

• Multi-Factor Authentication

Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, network security, or managed security services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently investigate incidents and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong communication, reporting, and technical-documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional technical teams.
• Relevant cybersecurity or vendor certifications are preferred.
