About The Role

Can you talk Kubernetes with engineers and control frameworks with auditors and feel equally at home in both conversations? That’s the rare combination we’re looking for.

As a Senior IT Consultant at Forvis Mazars, you sit at the intersection of cloud engineering and audit & compliance. You’ll build and secure production environments on Azure/AKS, drive security-by-design in CI/CD pipelines, and help our audit teams make sense of it all translating technical controls, risks and security measures into clear, audit-ready evidence.

This is explicitly not a classic auditor role. You bring the deep technical expertise; we’ll make sure it lands where it matters most.

What You'll Work On

• Engineering & security-by-design: Manage Azure/AKS in production, build secure CI/CD pipelines with GitOps, write Python and .NET/C# code
• Audit, risk & compliance: Support IT auditors with ITGC and cloud security assessments, translate findings into clear risks and recommendations
• Innovation & automation: Build reusable templates, automate compliance processes, create tooling for evidence collection and control testing

Who are you?

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) in production environments
• Solid DevSecOps mindset, security-by-design, control automation and secure pipelines are second nature to you
• Programming experience in Python; .NET/C# is a strong plus
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD, preferably with Argo CD
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, cybersecurity, engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English & Dutch; French is a plus
