About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid DevOps Engineer role based in Bangkok. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support Salary Hero’s platform. Responsibilities include building and managing Infrastructure as Code templates, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and security of production systems. The role will collaborate closely with software developers and product teams to streamline development workflows, improve CI/CD processes, and troubleshoot issues across staging and production environments. The DevOps Engineer will also contribute to operational documentation, incident response, and continuous improvement of system reliability and scalability.
What Matters Most to Us
Given that we operate in financial services, you'll be expected to build with these principles baked in, not bolted on:
- Reliability — high-availability architecture, disaster recovery, and minimizing downtime for a system people trust
- Performance — low-latency infrastructure that scales under load
- Security — secure-by-default infrastructure, secrets management, least-privilege access, and awareness of compliance requirements common in fintech (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or similar)
What We're Looking For
- Strong System Administration and Linux skills, including managing servers, networking, and basic security configurations.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to define, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure in a repeatable, automated way.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration practices and tools to build, test, and deploy applications efficiently and reliably.
- Solid Software Development skills to create automation scripts, tooling, and integrations that enhance DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to maintain system health and support incident resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience in financial technology is a plus.
