About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-sufficient Data Engineering, Cloud, and Platform Engineer. This role is critical to ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across databases, servers, cloud environments, containerized platforms and understand our Data Engineering and Power BI environments.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and capable of independently managing infrastructure while supporting modern application and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python
  • Collaborate with development and analytics teams to support applications and data platforms
  • Manage and administer Windows Server and Linux Server environments
  • Own and maintain database platforms:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • PostgreSQL
    • MongoDB
  • Design, implement, and optimize solutions in Microsoft Azure
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security across infrastructure
  • Configure and manage network components:
    • Proxy servers
    • DNS servers
    • Gateways and routing
  • Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, database, container, and network issues end-to-end
  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure and cloud
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with scripting/automation using Python
  • Strong experience with:
    • Windows Server administration
    • Linux server environments (Ubuntu, RedHat, or similar)
  • Proven expertise in database management:
    • SQL Server
    • PostgreSQL
    • MongoDB
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, monitoring)
  • Solid experience with containerization and orchestration:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes (or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of networking:
    • DNS, proxies, VPNs, gateways
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex, cross-layer issues
Nice to Have

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Identity & access management (Azure AD)
