As a Presales Security Engineer (Solution Architect) you will play a critical role in our Security Practice with designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud solutions for Cloud Office customers. This is a senior role that will focus on the execution of security services, including security assessments, cloud solutions hardening, identity and access controls, monitoring, and incident response enablement. You will help ensure customers’ cloud environments are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices, while enabling innovation and adoption of modern cloud technologies.
What You’ll Do
Pre-Sales Architecture:
- Lead architecture discussions, scale deployments, and present security strategies directly to technical stakeholders and executives.
- Conduct security assessments and audits of customer environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and risks.
- Define technical aspects of the SoW documentation and acceptance criteria
Implementation & Tooling:
- Implement and maintain security baselines across customer cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS). Implement least-privilege IAM models in customer environments.
- Implement and configure Google SecOps (Chronicle SIEM + SOAR) and integrate them with identity, endpoint, and network security tools.
- Configure and manage cloud-native security tools (e.g., Google Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty).
Detection & Automation:
- Write detection rules (e.g., YARA-L), develop threat-hunting queries, and build SOAR playbooks to automate incident response workflows.
- Assist with root cause analysis and remediation following security events.
- Collaborate with Cloud Office SMEs (DevOps, Data Engineering, SRE) and customer InfoSec teams.
- Document security configurations, procedures, and remediation steps for customer projects.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and enablement across the Cloud Office team.
Telemetry & Pipeline Management:
- Onboard security telemetry and build scalable ingestion pipelines using Universal Data Model (UDM) and log parsers.
- Support secure deployment pipelines, reusable templates, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) patterns.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in technical sales engineering, architectural design, or enterprise security.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity operations, specifically SIEM and SOAR), threat intelligence, and cloud security posture management. Google SecOps experience and certifications is a big plus.
- Ability to drive the entire technical sales cycle and translate complex security concepts into business value.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Cloud security engineering experience (Google Cloud, AWS).
- Good knowledge of cloud-native security tools.
- Hands-on experience with the technical aspects of security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and secure deployment practices.
- Skilled in IAM design, least-privilege models, and access control configuration.
- Familiar with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Excellent collaboration skills.
