Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Cyber Security Specialist to strengthen our organization's cybersecurity posture and ensure the protection of critical information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective Cyber Incident Response Procedures, including escalation workflows, identification, investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review activities.
- Conduct security assessments of operational networks and utilize appropriate tools, methodologies, and techniques to identify, analyze, and mitigate security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Perform continuous monitoring through the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure IT infrastructure, systems, and security controls operate in accordance with established security standards and policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews of system hardening, secure configuration standards, database security, server security, application security, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) controls.
- Lead and support Security Awareness Programs for employees, including information security campaigns, Clean Desk Policy implementation, phishing simulations, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
- Monitor and follow up on Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VA/PT) findings to ensure timely remediation and mitigation of identified security risks.
- Investigate, manage, and respond to cybersecurity incidents originating from both internal and external sources, including performing digital forensic investigations when required.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and anomalies related to:
- Firewall traffic
- Network traffic
- Antivirus and malware alerts
- Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Web Channel Protection
- File Integrity Monitoring
- Internet Security Access
- Firewall configuration changes
- Security patch management
- Other cybersecurity threats and incidents
- Monitor and investigate security violations occurring within the organization's environment and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Identify, assess, and evaluate cybersecurity risks to prevent, reduce, and mitigate threats that may impact business operations.
- Proactively contribute to the prevention of security breaches, fraud, and potential financial losses through the implementation and continuous enhancement of security controls.
- Support continuous improvement of the organization's information security framework by providing recommendations, strengthening security measures, and ensuring compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security, preferably within the Banking industry or other highly regulated sectors.
- Experience in Cyber Security, SOC Operations, Incident Response, Information Security, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and digital forensics.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks.
- Cybersecurity certifications (such as Security+, CEH, CHFI, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
