Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Cloud SME)

- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures, landing zones, and security guardrails across multiple cloud platforms
- Develop cloud security standards, policies, and secure-by-default infrastructure solutions
- Perform security assessments for cloud workloads, migrations, and modernization initiatives
- Secure cloud identities, access controls, privileged accounts, and non-human identities
- Implement and maintain cloud network security, zero trust principles, and secure hybrid connectivity
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to cloud security incidents while driving remediation efforts
- Manage cloud vulnerability findings and enhance detection and response capabilities
- Secure SaaS applications, third-party integrations, and data protection controls
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and security automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Python, and PowerShell
- Leverage AI and machine learning technologies to improve threat detection, analysis, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, IAM, application, and operations teams to continuously improve cloud security posture
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, AZ-500, SC-100, or equivalent are preferred
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, or cybersecurity engineering
- Strong hands-on experience across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud, with exposure to multi-cloud environments
- Expertise in cloud identity and access management, including federation, MFA, privileged access, and workload identities
- Experience with cloud-native security tools, posture management, threat detection, and incident response
- Hands-on experience securing SaaS platforms and third-party integrations
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform and scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell
- Experience applying AI/ML or large language models to security operations, automation, or analytics
- Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance frameworks, risk management, and security best practices
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, zero trust architecture, and workload protection
- Experience with container and serverless security
- Ability to automate security controls and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments
