Solution Architect - Data Platforms

Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions. This role will be responsible for defining end-to-end data architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise standards, and technology roadmaps.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in modern cloud-based data ecosystems, strong architectural governance capabilities, and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design and deliver end-to-end data and analytics architectures encompassing:
• Data ingestion
• Data storage
• Data processing
• Data consumption and reporting
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions across cloud environments.
• Define architectural patterns for both batch and real-time data integration.
• Lead technology assessments and recommend appropriate platforms, tools, and frameworks aligned with business and enterprise requirements.
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, business, and technology teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Drive architecture reviews and support governance forums through design presentations and decision-making.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Incorporate data governance principles into solution designs, including:
• Data quality
• Data lineage
• Metadata management
• Master data considerations
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Support enterprise-wide governance initiatives through effective architecture practices and controls.

Documentation & Communication

• Produce and maintain high-quality architectural artefacts, including:
• High-Level Designs (HLDs)
• Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
• Data Models
• Integration and Process Diagrams
• Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
• Develop comprehensive documentation aligned with enterprise standards and lifecycle management practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Present architecture solutions, recommendations, and trade-offs to stakeholders at various organisational levels.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture roles with a strong focus on data and analytics solutions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics architectures.
• Deep expertise in:
• Snowflake
• Microsoft Azure Data Platform
• Cloud Data Lakes
• Data Warehousing Solutions
• Strong understanding of:
• Data integration patterns
• ETL/ELT frameworks
• Batch and real-time data processing
• API-driven and event-based architectures
• Experience with metadata management, data cataloguing, and governance platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture frameworks and best practices.

Stakeholder Management

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business leaders, architects, engineers, analysts, and vendors.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive consensus-based decisions.

Qualifications- Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• TOGAF certification (or equivalent Enterprise Architecture qualification).

Preferred- Experience

• Cloud certifications in Azure and/or Snowflake.
• Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management tools.
• Exposure to regulated environments and compliance frameworks.
• Consulting experience within large enterprise transformation programs.
