The Security Engineer will participate in the deployment, integration, and operationalization of Threat and Vulnerability Detection Platform across the enterprise. The Security Engineer will have solid interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, and have a desire to maintain enterprise-wide visibility to initiatives related to threat and vulnerability detection technologies and services. The Security Engineer is an individual contributor role with expertise in Operating systems, and software vulnerability management.

Primary Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate the Threat and Vulnerability Platform technology across the enterprise tool and integrate the platforms to the various security tool sets (SIEM, XDR, Reporting, etc.)
- Deploy, implement and manage security controls to safeguard infrastructure, systems, and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards (e.g. FedRAMP, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify security requirements and develop solutions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Review, test, and configure scanning and reporting results to key stakeholders
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior security engineers and other team members
Qualifications - External
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4+ years of experience in remediating vulnerabilities on Tenable VM servers
- 4+ years of experience in responding to ticking requests for the team such as ad-hoc scans, false positive investigations, vulnerability risks
- 4+ years of experience in reviewing scans for potential, successful, and unsuccessful scan results
- 4+ years of experience in cloud service provider security concepts
- 2+ years of experience in maintaining and utilizing the Tenable VM software and infrastructure
- Due to FISMA US Citizenship is required
- General knowledge of network concepts, Windows and Linux operating systems and administration
- Scripting, automation, AI integrations
