- Investigate cybersecurity incidents alongside managed security service providers, performing root cause analysis and supporting containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies to detect suspicious or malicious activity.
- Assess cybersecurity risks across ICT projects, digital initiatives, and business operations while supporting governance and compliance requirements.
- Conduct security assessments for third-party vendors, supply chain partners, and new technologies, ensuring identified risks are addressed promptly.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, awareness programs, operational procedures, and incident response playbooks while promoting security best practices across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Third-Party Security, or a related cybersecurity function.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, security controls, and incident response processes.
- Experience working with SIEM platforms, Microsoft security technologies, and Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft AZ-500, AZ-305, SC-200, or SC-300.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ACSC Essential Eight, and Australian Privacy legislation.
- Experience supporting security audits, compliance, governance, and assurance activities.
- Experience working with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), outsourced IT providers, and third-party risk management.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Agile delivery environments, and a strong commitment to continuous learning in emerging cybersecurity technologies, automation, and AI-enabled security solutions.
