Security Architect
Type: Full-time
Location: Belfast HQ, but open to canddiates in mainland UK to work on a remote basis, with occasional vsiists to the Head Office.
We're partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit an experienced Security Architect with a strong focus on networking and cloud technologies within the Microsoft stack.
This is an opportunity to shape and enhance enterprise-scale cloud security, working across modern Microsoft technologies and collaborating with infrastructure and engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions.

What you'll be doing
- Design and implement cloud-native security architectures and enterprise security solutions.
- Develop and deliver Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) strategies to protect cloud applications and services.
- Define and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and cloud security audits.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for cloud and network security solutions.
- Act as the subject matter expert for email security architecture, partnering with infrastructure teams to design highly secure and resilient hybrid email environments.
- Monitor the evolving threat landscape and recommend security improvements and emerging technologies to mitigate risk.
- Provide technical guidance and influence security strategy across multiple stakeholders.
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud security solutions.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, including data classification, labelling, and DLP policy enforcement via CASB.
- Proven experience designing secure hybrid email security architectures.
- Experience implementing enterprise CASB and CNAPP solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking and security, including security groups, network ACLs, and load balancers.
- Experience with identity and access management, ideally Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong understanding of application and network security risk assessments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good understanding of security frameworks, governance, and compliance standards.
