AWS Cloud Security Specialist

As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest Financial Clients, I am seeking for an AWS Cloud Security Specialist for a position in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the security of cloud services and platforms across the organization. The successful candidate will support cloud governance initiatives, help secure cloud-native deployments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's cloud security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead Cloud Security meetups with AWS workload teams.
• Provide Cloud Security design advice for new AWS workloads.
• Perform security architecture review of solutions intents for SaaS platforms and AWS services.
• Assist with Cloud Security compliance assessments.
• Provide operational cloud security advisory for workloads and AWS cloud teams.
• Assist with cloud threat modeling exercises to identify security risks and recommend appropriate mitigating controls.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to address identified vulnerabilities and security gaps.
• Support Cloud Security Posture Management initiatives and review findings to improve cloud visibility and governance.

Required knowledge and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Hands on experience with AWS services.
• Experience with securing AI systems such as Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Experience integrating AWS services with third party platforms.
• Experience with Cloud architecture and Cloud Security Posture Management.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment mindset.
• Experience with container, API, and CI/CD pipeline security.
• Scripting experience using python in AWS environment (AWS Lambda).
• Ability to challenge constructively while building strong relationships with engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract: 12 months

Rates: Excellent

Interview: 2 stages, 1 technical + 1 assessment
