Today, we employ around 350 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Data Security Specialist who wants to guide our clients through their data security efforts in our Secure Infrastructure team.
Secure Infrastructure
Looking at the actual threat landscape today, it’s more important than ever to design and build infrastructure solutions that incorporate correct and relevant security features. The team works closely together using their combined knowledge and experience gathered from different projects and Incident Response cases to help our customers stay ahead of the threat actors. We continuously help customers improve their security posture within cloud, data center, endpoint management, identity, M365, networking and now Data Security.
The Role
As the digital landscape continues to evolve, we see data security emerging as a critical business area within cybersecurity. With the exponential growth of sensitive data being generated, shared, and stored across different platforms, organizations face unprecedented challenges in protecting their most valuable asset: their information.
As a Data Security Consultant at Truesec, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients protect their most valuable information. You will take ownership in configuring and optimising Microsoft Purview solutions and policies, managing data security configurations within Microsoft Information Protection, and deploying policies to protect critical assets across tools like Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Management. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on implementation, ensuring your contributions directly strengthen our clients’ data security posture and support the delivery of robust security solutions.
Your Potential Background
- Experience in Microsoft Purview, including configuration of policies in various Purview tools (such as Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management)
- An understanding of information protection strategies and tools, including encryption, rights management, and data classification solutions
- Experience working with Azure services (e.g., M365, Defender)
- Ability to deliver training and workshops, empowering clients and colleagues with practical knowledge of data security best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001 or similar data protection regulations.
- Knowledge of data security frameworks and ability to develop security baselines for data security projects
- Technical acumen for implementing and troubleshooting data security systems
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Information Security Administrator Associate)
- Understanding of AI technologies and the specific security risks they present, with experience implementing protective measures with Azure tools
- Experience integrating security into development and operational workflows
