About The Role
As a Senior Security Architect, you'll be at the forefront of Swiss Re's cybersecurity strategy, designing and implementing security solutions that protect our global operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create secure, scalable architectures while balancing innovation with risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop practical and versatile security requirements, architecture blueprints and processes for the application and solution landscape
- Advance technical and organizational security competencies and adapt to emerging security trends
- Review, advise on and approve security concepts for a variety of digital solutions across Swiss Re's business landscape
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers inside Swiss Re's architecture teams driving adoption within their IT departments
- Lead complex security discussions with multiple stakeholders, providing expert guidance and solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on our security posture
About You
You're a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who thrives in collaborative environments. You can translate complex security concepts into practical solutions and effectively advocate for security best practices across the organization. You're adaptable, solution-focused, and passionate about staying current with evolving cybersecurity trends and technologies.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Meet These Requirements
- Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods with willingness to explore new areas
- Proven track record of defining and delivering enterprise-scale security architectures
- Deep expertise in several cybersecurity domains such as network security, application security, identity and access management, endpoint/mobile security, or cloud infrastructures
- Thorough understanding of application and service development, including cloud-native processes and associated security challenges
- Excellent communication skills with ability to lead complex conversations in a consulting and mediating way
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and create appropriate solutions independently
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft cloud certifications, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC or similar qualifications
- Experience with security automation and DevSecOps practices
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to financial services
- Experience in financial services or reinsurance industry
- Background in security risk assessment methodologies
