What You'll Do
Security Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain internal security platforms, services, APIs, automation, and engineering tools.
- Build scalable solutions that improve vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, access governance, and cloud security operations.
- Develop detections-as-code, automated security workflows, and reusable security services that improve operational efficiency.
- Create engineering-driven security capabilities that enable development teams to move quickly while maintaining strong security standards.
AI & Security Innovation
- Help secure AI-enabled applications, services, and development workflows.
- Develop security controls and guardrails to identify and reduce emerging risks associated with AI technologies.
- Build monitoring, detection, and response capabilities for AI-driven systems.
- Leverage AI to automate investigations, accelerate security operations, improve decision-making, and reduce manual effort.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to enable secure adoption of emerging technologies.
Cloud, Identity & Application Security
- Build security detections across cloud infrastructure, identity platforms, endpoints, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.
- Design and implement security controls supporting workforce identities, privileged access, machine identities, and cloud-native environments.
- Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security design assessments for new services, APIs, infrastructure, and applications.
- Promote secure-by-design engineering practices across technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering or a closely related cybersecurity discipline.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong software engineering mindset with experience building production-quality security tools, automation, or internal platforms.
- Demonstrated experience developing scalable security solutions rather than relying exclusively on commercial products.
- Proficiency with Python or another modern programming language used for automation and security engineering.
- Experience working with APIs, open-source technologies, and cloud-native services.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, operating systems, identity, and modern security principles.
- Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Experience with technologies supporting cloud security, SIEM, EDR, IAM, SaaS security, application security, network security, or security monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
