WGH is looking for an AI/Cybersecurity Security Engineer to help protect our patients, providers, and data across both traditional IT infrastructure and our growing footprint of clinical and administrative AI systems. This role blends core cybersecurity engineering with the specialized risks of healthcare AI — protecting PHI in ML pipelines, securing clinical decision-support tools, and ensuring AI-driven systems meet the same rigorous compliance bar as the rest of our environment. You'll work closely with IT security, clinical informatics, compliance, and data science teams to keep patient data and AI systems secure without slowing down care delivery. Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents.
- Implement and maintain security controls across hospital systems and cloud environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security testing.

- Experience with security frameworks and tools such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM, and EDR.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
- Understanding of healthcare security requirements and AI-related security risks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Healthcare or hospital IT experience.
- Experience with AI/ML security, EHR systems, or medical device security.
- Experience securing cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, OSCP, or HCISPP.

- Holidays: 6 observed paid holidays
- Employer-provided life insurance with optional additional coverage available at the employee's expense.
- Short-term and long-term disability insurance
